Self-Worth

sometimes i shave my legs and sometimes i don't
sometimes i comb my hair and sometimes i won't
depending how the wind blows i may even paint my toes
it really just depends on whatever feels good in my soul

when i look in the mirror and the only one there is me
every freckle on my face is where it's supposed to be
and i know my creator didn't make no mistakes on me

Cricket

Cricket is a game in which you have two sides, one out on the field and the other in.

Each man in the side that's in goes out and when he's out comes in and the next man goes out until he is out and then he comes in.

When the side that's in is all out the side that has been out goes in and the side that is in goes out and tries to get out the side that goes in.

Sometimes you get men still in and not out when the side that is in is finally out.

Great Ocean Road Holiday, April 2009

Day 1 - 19/04/09

Mt Barker to Geelong via Ballarat

Lunch stop was at the Pink Lake, which Emily and Laura didn't really remember.  I'm sure we've stopped there before, but I guess they were too young to recall it.  Kim and Emily spent time in Gail's Patchwork Emporium, while Ian and Laura went shopping elsewhere.

Day 2 - 20/04/09

Geelong

A day trip to Queenscliff and the Bellarine peninsula.  Nick and Joan were away, so we didn't call in.  Then a visit to Geelong for some sight seeing.

New South Wales Holiday

Our holiday to NSW was very enjoyable.  Everyone had a good time with perhaps one exception when Laura had to go to hospital to remove a nasty splinter from her foot when we were in Cooma - not fun!!!

Our New Car!!!

After much waiting and a false start at registering the car, we finally took delivery of our new Ford G6E on Friday - 08/08/08.  If nothing else, I think this car will have excellent resale value in the Chinese community.

The car is a Ford Falcon G6E, which they tell me replaces (and then some) the Fairmont Ghia.  Here's a photo...

Kim's William Morris Quilt

Kim has completed her quilt, and it is now hanging on the Lounge room wall.  We're all very excited and extremely impressed.  Hours and hours of work have gone into this quilt.  Each item has been hand appliqued onto the quilt before the quilt stitching.  Kim is deservedly pleased with it

Galbatorix is Un-evil

Is Galbatorix Un-evil? That is the question. (By the way, by un-evil I mean the weird way of saying 'good' when you can't really say 'good', if that makes any sense *laugh*.) If you don't a have a clue on Alagaesia who Galbatorix is, read Eragon. Good book. Until then, come eat our cookies. Laura
